With the support of UNIFEM, UNFPA and the Austrian Development Cooperation.

It kills more young women than cancer. It affects one in three women worldwide. It leaves women mentally scarred for life. “It” is violence against women and girls. This seven-part series is a brutally honest account of the silent war being waged against women across the world.
Nepal: A Narrow Escape
Turkey: Killing in the Name of Honour
Morocco: Never Again
Democratic Republic of Congo: Find a Word for It…
Austria: Showing the Red Card
Mauritania: A Question of Rape
Colombia: Justice in the Region of Death

Nature Inc.

This six-part series puts a price tag on the planet’s billion year old life support system. It shows how destroying nature is costing us cold, hard cash.

Episode 2: Trees on Tap
Episode 3: The Aliens Have Landed!
Episode 4: Coral Cashpoint
Episode 5: Slippery Slopes
Episode 6: Bloom or Bust

Nature Inc. will be back in 2009 and 2010 with new episodes!

World Challenge 08
dev.tv cooperates with BBC World News and Newsweek magazine’s programme World Challenge.
It is a global competition aimed at finding projects or small businesses from around the world that have shown enterprise and innovation at a grass roots level. The winner will receive a grant of USD $20 000 to put back into their project/business, and two runners up will each receive USD $10 000. One representative from each of the three finalists will be flown to The Hague, The Netherlands, to attend the award ceremony in December 2008.
