Leading Parliamentarians have met in Copenhagen from October 23rd to 25th 2010 to add their weight to the negotiating process for a replacement to the ineffective Kyoto Protocol. The failure by US Senate to ratify Kyoto illustrates the crucial importance of securing the backing of the Legislators to put any internationally agreed accord into national law.
